How to Receive a Massage

Take Time
Give yourself plenty of time to relax before your massage so you can relax thoroughly once you arrive at Spa Serenity. Warmed and relaxed muscles benefit the more from bodywork / massage.

Talk with your Therapist
Before you massage begins, tell your therapist which areas you would like to focus on or avoid during your massage. If at any time during the massage let your therapist know if you feel any discomfort or you would like more pressure. Do not ever feel afraid to communicate with your therapist, this is your time. Communication is the key to getting the massage you want.

"Deeper" doesn't necessarily mean "better"
Our superb body staff is eclectic, multi talented and devoted to giving you a massage that will satisfy your needs. Please communicate with your therapist and allow them to listen to your body. You can receive a therapeutic massage without being uncomfortable.

Relax
Close your eyes and allow your mind and body to be quiet. Focus on how you feel and breathe deeply, in through your mouth and push the air deep under your belly button and release the air out through your nose. Let the tension slip away with each deep breath. Remember this time is for you.
